Cancer to Confidence – Life after Breast Cancer; I simply have to share one special ladies journey with you. Not only because she asked me to, but because she is one of the most inspirational women I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! It’s funny because when I started writing this blog post I instantly thought – Cancer to Confidence.  And when I went into Kathy’s testimonial those were the very first words she had written!!

I met Kathy after she was recommended to me by another client and friend. I immediately loved her positive energy and warm heart. Grinning from ear to ear the minute I met her, I knew she would become a friend too.   What I admire most about Kathy is her positive ‘get up and go’ attitude and her sheer determination to make the most of life and enjoy everything it had to offer.  Having been through a horrendous journey, she was incredibly open to meeting new people and welcoming some fun and light into her life.

With all of that said, I could still sense that her confidence was low, despite her epic efforts to disguise it.  It was a real pleasure being able to give Kathy new eyebrows, they really suit her gorgeous English rose complexion, whilst allowing her to glam them up on her many fabulous night out.  For me, I noticed the biggest change in her confidence with the scalp micropigmentation.  Helping to give her the illusion of fuller, thicker hair has been amazing and I am so pleased it has had such a positive impact on her confidence.

I have literally watched Kathy blossom from cancer to confidence before my very eyes!

Here’s what Kathy has to say……

From Cancer to confidence a Hugh thank you to Nikki Butler. During my breast cancer chemo treatment 4 years ago I lost all my hair, eyebrows and nails. After the treatment I felt quite down but was determined to make the most of the life I had left and put on a wig and a brave face and started to rebuild my life and have some fun.

I was talking to a friend who mentioned she had just her eyebrows tattooed and they looked so natural and amazing I asked who she had used and got in touch with Nikki. It was so wonderful to deal with Nikki she has a wonderful combination of listening to what you want, kindness and being incredibly thorough and professional. My eyebrows looked amazing and my confidence was really boosted. To wake up and look in the mirror and look great and normal without makeup was a miracle.

When Nikki mentioned she was getting specialist training for hair tattooing I was so excited. Even 4 years after my treatment my eyebrows and hair did not grow back properly. I did my best with make up and carefully styling my hair, but it was a daily reminder of my cancer. It’s only now after Nikki has done my eyebrows and scalp micropigmentation that I realised quite how much my confidence had been effected.  I am so grateful to have been recommended to Nikki. The eyebrows look age appropriate and  completely natural. I am just back from a holiday and didn’t once think I need to restyle to hide my scalp.

Thank you so much Nikki. You have been a huge help and support and I can’t recommend you highly enough.
