If anyone ever tells you that they can help you achieve perfect skin from your products alone, then they are not being truthful with you!
If anyone ever tells you that they can help you achieve perfect skin from your products alone, then they are not being truthful with you!
Your skin is unique to you. This is why it’s important to have an ‘inside out and outside in’ approach to your skin. My Skinblissology program is a bespoke program, which I create especially for you, focusing on all of the areas that influence your skin and wellbeing. So you can be confident you’ll see the results you desire, if you follow your bespoke program.
I have been passionate about skin (read ‘obsessed’) for the best part of a decade. Whilst I love products & treatments, I know that there is a lot more to beautiful skin than these alone.
As a qualified Nutritional Therapist, I know that what you put into your body is equally as powerful and effective as what you put onto your skin.
I have also personally experienced many skin challenges during my stressful corporate career and in more recent years, hormone related skin issues. So I have experienced first hand the effects of stress, insomnia, poor nutrition and hormone imbalances – and it’s not fun is it!
This is what led me to create Skinblissology programs, so that I can help you to manage all of the areas that are impacting your skin. Creating a bespoke program just for you, because your skin and your lifestyle is unique to you.
My goal is to help you to manage your skin, improve your well-being and energy levels, plus learn how to look after your skin for the long term, in a simple, sustainable way – with that little bit of luxury that we all deserve!
I know that sometimes the thought of making changes to our routines and lifestyle can be daunting, but I promise you there’s nothing radical here, it’s about helping you to create small, incremental changes for the long term. I have nearly 15 years experience as a coach, helping individuals to achieve their goals, so rest assured I will be there to help you through your program.
Your lifestyle plays a huge part in the quality of your skin. Factors that fall into ‘lifestyle’ include where you live, where you work, your hobbies and activities, stress levels, sleep quality and the environment you’re in.
As part of your Skinblissology program, we will look at the key areas that are affecting your skin and wellbeing and find ways to make simple, sustainable and powerful changes. This may be through the products you’re using, or discovering ways to improve your sleep and reduce stress levels.
I’m going to start by saying that this doesn’t mean living like a saint! We will look at your diet and identify simple changes that you can make to improve the quality of your skin and help you feel more energised and energetic.
As a Nutritional Therapist, I take a holistic approach when it comes to nutrition. We will explore potential foods that you may be intolerant to and look at where you may benefit from adding in a supplement. This is about making simple changes that you will be able to sustain for the long term.
If we agree that you may have food allergies or intolerance’s that require specialist knowledge and support, I can refer you to my colleague Kaye, who is a registered Nutritionist. (The referral is free of charge, but Kaye’s fees are separate from those within your Skinblissology program).
Hormones wreck havoc with your skin and your well being. They are feisty little things and can cause all sorts of issues, including pigmentation, dry & sensitive skin, itching, not to mention fluctuations in body temperature, brain fog and mood swings.
We are considered to be perimenopausal from the age of 35, entering into menopause at around 52. So that’s a long time to be battling hormonal imbalances!
The 4 biggest culprits are cortisol, insulin, oestrogen and thyroid. As part of your Skinblissology consultation, we will identify whether you may be experiencing hormonal imbalances. Simple, yet poweful changes can be made to help your hormones re-balance.
If you are experiencing peri-menopause or menopausal symptoms, i can refer you to my colleague Mandy, who is a Hormone Specialist GP – she is simply fabulous! (Your referral is free of charge on your program, but Mandy’s fees are not included.)
Medical conditions and medications care really have an impact on your skin and can be responsible for some of the most common skin conditions.
Did you know that the contraceptive pill can be responsible for pigmentation (dark patches)? The menopause can cause skin to be dry, sensitive and itchy. Thyroid disorders can cause dull skin and acne medications can cause extreme sensitity and the effects of chemotherapy can still be seen on your skin for many months.
As part of your Skinblissology program, we will identify where your health may be impacting your skin and address this as part of your bespoke program.
The products and treatments that I recommend for you will depend on the results from your pre-consultation questions and your consultation.
I will take into account your skin type, skin conditions, lifestyle, health, diet & nutrition and also your skin goals. I should point out right here, that whilst your Skinblissology program is focused around achieving your skin goals, it is also a program that will help you to improve your overall well being, helping you glow inside and out.
I will make recommendations for your skincare products, which are simple & sustainable, with that luxury we all love and deserve. It’s important to me to provide a skincare range that is both reasonably priced and results driven, which is what I have found with Katherine Daniels Skincare and Cosmedix.
We will also discuss clinic treatments that will help you to achieve your skincare goals, together with at home tools and treatments that you can use too.
Supplements can really help your skin and your overall well being.
We will discuss whether supplements may be beneficial to you. My favourite anti-ageing supplement is Rejuvenated’s Collagen Shots, as collagen is so important to maintain our youthful glowing skin. Unfortunately, our natural collagen levels start to decline from our early 20’s, so taking a supplement can be really beneficial.
Supplements not only help us on a daily basis, but really enhance the results from advanced skin treatments, as they aid the healing process. All of this goes towards optimising your results.
Technically, these come under ‘Lifestyle’ above. BUT, they both deserve a separate mention because they are super important to your skin and overall well being. If you choose your Skinblissology Skin Transformation Program, then we focus on ways to help you to reduce your stress and improve your sleep.
Cortisol, your stress hormone wrecks havoc in your body. It’s your fight/flight/freeze response and your system is flooded with excess cortisol and adrenaline that you don’t need when you are stressed. It shuts down and suppresses process in your body, as it’s primary concern is to keep you safe. And who needs glowing skin and good digestion when you’re running from a lion!? Stress often goes hand in hand with poor sleep. Your body needs you to rest and sleep, as this is when your repair systems kick in, working their magic as you sleep. If you’re not sleeping, then this doesn’t happen.
Don’t worry – you don’t have to choose straight away! You can either choose to commit to your full Skinblissology Skin Transformation Program, or you can build your program as you go.
Absolutely! This happens a lot! If you want to upgrade and include different elements, then please just let me know and will include the additional elements in your program. You will need to allow 7 days for the new elements of your program to be created, as this is bespoke for you.
If you choose your beposke Outside In Program, then you results will not be as impressive but you would expect to see improvements. It is impossible to transform your skin for the long term with products and treatments alone. As your skin is the largest organ in your body, it needs to be looked after from the outside in too, which also includes things like reducing your stress and improving your sleep.
You can choose between a 3 or 6 month program. The minimum program is 3 months, because this is when you can fully expect to see transformation results.
The Skinblissology Program’s are focused on helping you to transform your skin and well-being, and this takes time. Your results will be achieved through consistency and following your bespoke program. We will have monthly reviews and make any adjustments necessary to your program, in each of the areas covered.
My aim is to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and tools to be able to look after your skin for the long term.
