Radiofrequency Microneedling facial treatments are the superhero of anti ageing facials, in my opinion. Tackling multiple ageing skin concerns, including skin tone & texture, lines & wrinkles, tightening and lifting AND overall skin quality and strength.
Radiofrequency microneedling facial treatments are the perfect way to target multiple ageing skin concerns. You can treat multiple ageing skin concerns with this treatment, making it an incredible investment of both your time and money.
With minimal downtime, you can return to most activities the next day, following your radiofrequency microneedling facial. Aftercare is easy and simple, making this the perfect anti ageing treatment to have.
This amazing facial can improve lines & wrinkles, skin tone & texture, AND tighten and lift your skin. It’s highly effective for your face, neck and decolletage, and also a great treatment for tightening skin on the arms and tummy too.
The Focus Dual, by Lynton Aesthetics has some unique features, when it comes to radiofrequency microneedling facial treatments. I trialled this, and the Morpheus8, before making the decision to go with the Focus Dual. The reason I opted for the Focus Dual was because of the ability to finely tune and adapt treatments, and treatment is a lot more comfortable. The benefits of the Focus Dual for you, are:
A radiofrequency microneedling facial is a powerful anti ageing treatment, often dubbed a ‘non-surgical face lift’. HIFU also falls into this category of treatments.
Microneedling is a well known collagen induction treatment, and a treatment I’ve offered for near on a decade, in varying forms. However, the introduction of radiofrequency into the needles, during treatment, makes this a powerful treatment for tightening and lifting.
This advanced anti ageing treatment is the perfect choice if you want to target multiple ageing concerns, and if you are concerned about sagging skin, including saggy jowls and turkey neck. This is a great treatment on it’s own, but combining this treatment with HIFU can take your results to another level.
Prior to booking treatment, we go through a full consultation process, and I’ll create a bespoke program that helps to support your skin concern and goals. We don’t just look at skin treatments, we will also discuss lifestyle, nutrition & skin care, to ensure you get the best possible results.
Initially, for radiofrequency microneedling facial treatments, you'll need between 3-6 treatments, taken 4-6 weeks apart. You'll then move into maintenance, which is one treatment 2-4 times a year, depending on how your skin is ageing naturally.
It is a little uncomfortable, as it is needles entering the skin. If you wish to minimise your discomfort, you can apply EMLA cream around 40 minutes before your treatment.
You can purchase EMLA from most chemists, as the licence has been changed to allow for skin needling/tattooing. Unfortunately, I am not able to supply/apply EMLA as part of your treatment, as I am not a nurse prescriber, so it is illegal for me to do so.
You will see the full results around 12 weeks after your final treatment, in your initial course. However, most clients see an improvement in fine lines & wrinkles and skin tone & texture within 3-4 weeks from the first treatment.
As this is a collagen induction treatment, it takes time to see the results on the surface of your skin, so patience is key!
As with any treatment, there are contraindications. The below are contraindications, but if you have any other health condition, or are on medication, this will be discussed with you at your consultation.
* Open wounds or lesions on the face and/or neck including active herpes.
* Botox or fillers in the area for 4 weeks before/after treatment.
* Active acne on the face and/or neck
* Skin pigmentation problems (e.g. Melasma or Vitiligo).
* Pacemakers and electronic device implants.
* Metal implants / piercings in the treatment area.
* Heart conditions or cardiovascular disease.

This treatment has very minimal downtime, and most day-day activities can be resumed straight away.
Here’s what you can expect after your treatment, and the basic aftercare:
* Post treatment redness, that looks like sunburn - this should subside within 1-2 days.
* Swelling, tingling and warmth are normal reactions and will subside within a few days.
* Tiny red dots on the skin, usually only visible with a magnifying glass. Your skin may also feel a little grainy for 7-10 days, during the initial healing period.
* Avoid sun exposure and apply SPF 50 during your course of treatment (and ideally forever!). SPF needs to be worn in all-weather condition and all year round.
* Avoid exfoliating the skin and active acid-based products for one week. Avoid vitamin C and retinol (vitamin A) topical products for 7 days before and after treatments.
* Avoid fake or gradual tan products for 10 days before treatment and for 2 weeks post treatment.
* Avoid heat treatments, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools and exercise for 3 days post treatment.
* Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
* Use clean pillowcases and towels after your treatment.
Please ensure that you are well at the time of your treatment.
This treatment is ideal for those that are 30+, with skin concerns such as lines & wrinkles, skin tone & texture and sagging skin.
Whilst you can have this treatment if you are younger, the benefits would be minimal, as your natural collagen levels will be higher. Microneedling, without radiofrequency is a more suitable option for younger clients, wishing to treat the early signs of ageing.
There is a benefit for some clients to have radiofrequency microneedling alongside HIFU. This is something we discuss at your consultation. Once we've discussed your skin concerns and goals, I will be able to create a bespoke plan for you.
This is a highly effective stand alone treatment though, and HIFU is not necessary or suitable for everyone.
With a radiofrequency microneedling facial, you can treat the face, neck and decolletage.
However, this treatment is also very effective at treatment lax skin on the arms and tummy too.

Whilst radiofrequency microneedling facial treatments are my most popular anti ageing facial treatments, it’s worth mentioning how amazing radiofrequency microneedling is for scars.
This powerful form of microneedling is very effective at improve the texture of scarring, helping to lift up sunken scars, and flatten raised scars. It stimulates fresh, healthy collagen and elastin, and makes a significant difference to the look and feel of scars.
Radiofrequency microneedling is something I now use in almost all of my scar improvement programs, alongside other targeted treatments. Whilst it’s suitable for most types of scars, it’s been outstanding for treating burn tissue and self-harm scars.
If you have scars you’d like to improve, then please get in touch, I’d love to be able to help you. I know first hand how it can feel to live with significant scarring, which is why I run scar transformation programs, focusing on healing your scars both internally, and externally.
I have been passionate about skin (read ‘obsessed’) for the best part of a decade. Whilst I love products & treatments, I know that there is a lot more to beautiful skin than these alone.
As a qualified Nutritional Therapist, I know that what you put into your body is equally as powerful and effective as what you put onto your skin.
I have lived with considerable scarring, as a result of having a childhood accident which left me with 22 stitches in my forehead. I have also had 6 knee operations with two bone and cartilage grafts – the scars are impressive, or at least they were before treatment! Scar treatments transformed my confidence, I was able to wear shorts for the first time in nearly a decade, it was so liberating! I’d love you to be able to feel that freedom and confidence too.
I know that sometimes the thought of making changes to our routines and lifestyle can be daunting, but I promise you there’s nothing radical here, it’s about helping you to create small, incremental changes for the long term. I have nearly 15 years experience as a coach, helping individuals to achieve their goals, so rest assured I will be there to help you through your transformation.
