Discover my favourite glowing skin products
In this blog, I’m going to share my top glowing skin products, favourite treatments and also some invaluable advice on how you can boost your glow with a few lifestyle hacks and tweaks.
We’ll look at products, skincare tools, supplements, treatments and lifestyle. Get reading to glow from the outside in and inside out! There are a lot of things that affect the quality of your skin, not just your products and treatments. If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll see that I am always referring to an ‘outside in and inside out’ approach. That’s because that’s the way to truly get the best from your skin. Yes, products and treatments can make a really amazing difference, but you’ll get far better results by looking after your skin from the inside out too.
Here’s something you might be surprised about – your stress hormone, cortisol can wreak absolute havoc with your skin if it’s out of balance! It can cause breakouts, sensitivity and a generally sallow and dull looking complexion. There’s more information about that in my blog post HERE.
And then there’s food. So whilst you may LOVE your best friends Ben & Jerry, they may not be loving you back. The most common food intolerances that trigger acne breakouts are dairy, soy, and wheat/gluten. Although any food intolerance will show up on your skin, as it causes imbalances and inflammation. As your skin is the largest organ in your body, it’s no wonder it’s a book cover, telling the world that your insides are less than happy.
My approach is to treat you ‘Outside In and Inside Out’. This means that we look at the internal and external factors that are contributing to your skin. For me, this is the ONLY way to treat your skin. This is why I bring in my experience as a Nutritional Therapist to my skin treatment programs, ensuring that you look and feel amazing, whilst getting the best possible results from your products and treatments.
Glowing Skin Products - Step One of the 'Outside In'
There are some incredible glowing skin produts available today. The trouble is that there are so many, that it’s near on impossible to know what to get and even more confusing – what to use and when!?
Your skincare does not need to be complicated, expensive or fancy. You do not need a separate suitcase for all of your skincare products, nor does your bathroom cabinet need to reinforced so it can stand the weight of dozens of lotions and potions! Relieved? Me too!
Your skincare routine needs to do two things:
- Repair and restore your skins natural barrier function, so that it can do it’s job of keeping the good stuff in and the bad stuff out. Using harsh products, or too many products can actually damage your skin and cause skin concerns such as redness, breakouts, uneven skin tone and sensitivity. Repairing and strengthening your skin is the number one priority.
- Your skincare products also need to support your skin type and skin conditions. Your skin type is what you’re born with/hereditary, such as dry or oily skin. Your skin conditions are as a result of lifestyle factors, health, hormones and stress! Skin conditions can result in premature aging and cover most of our common skin concerns today. So good news, most of those can be treated – but not before we repair and restore your skins natural barrier function.
There isn’t a ‘one size’ fits all for skincare, so I’d suggest booking a free consultation so that I can assess your skin and make recommendations that will help you. I’ve worked with, and used a number of skincare ranges over the years – these are my favourites both from clinical and personal experience.
Katherine Daniels Skincare
It’s as easy as ‘1 – 2 – 3’. I mean, it literally is! There are just 2 steps to the Essentials range for Katherine Daniels. There’s a gorgeous Step 4 if you fancy a face mask or eye mask as a treat, but you can stick to the 3 steps and have beautiful skin.
The beauty of this natural skincare range is that it is focused on repairing your skins natural barrier function, ensuring you have gorgeous, healthy and strong skin. This is a simple, sustainable and results driven range, with that little touch of luxury we all need and deserve!
Cosmedix Skincare
Cosmedix are another brand that are focused on repairing your skin and strengthening its natural barrier function. I particularly love this range for treating skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation. I have suffered with melasma (hormone related hyperpigmentation) for two decades, I managed to get mine under control with a combination of Katherine Daniels, Cosmedix and Rejuvenated supplements. It was a huge confidence boost to be able to go out without makeup on!
Cosmedix have a higher stength product range that I can prescribe for you, once you’ve completed a 21 day course with the lower strength products. This is really important, as it help to condition and strengthen your skin, so it receives the stronger products well.
Glowing Skin Products - Tools & Supplements
So, lets talk about some other glowing skin products. There are some fantastic skincare tools that will really help to boost your skin, plus some amazing supplements that will improve your skin from the inside out – never underestimate the power of the ‘inside out’! I’ve included some nutrition advice below, to help you get the best from your skincare routine. I bring my experience as a Nutritional Therapist into my skincare programs, as this truly is the way to achieve your best skin ever.
Flexi-Skin London
It took me a long time to find ‘at home’ tools that I was happy with. And I used to say I’d never stock microneedling tools – as there are just too many poor quality ones on the market.
Well, never say never! All of these tools compliment your daily & weekly skincare routine, helping to boost collagen, blood flow and aid lymphatic drainage. The perfect glowing skin products!
My personal favourites are The Cleanser and The Microneedler, although I do actually own and use all four of these. The rose rollers and sculptors are great if you keep them in the fridge, the coldness really gives your skin an added glow.
Rejuvenated Supplements
OK, if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll have seen me rave about this range of natural supplements a LOT! I started my love affair with Rejuvenated as a consumer many years ago. I was blown away with the results of their Collagen Shots that I decided to become a stockist of their lovely products.
These are my three ‘hero’ products, that I take every day. Although they have a much wider range that is designed to support your skin and wellbeing from the inside out.
Glowing Skin - it's an Inside Out Job too
It’s not just about glowing skin products, tools and treatments. Glowing skin is achieved by looking after your skin from the inside out too.
In my Cheat Sheet, you’ll see some advice on foods you can eat to boost your skin quality. Ignore the fact that the Cheat Sheet is for acne prone skin, the advice is still applicable for getting that glow! There’s some really simple changes you can make to your diet that will help you too.
I’d also recommend taking a pre and probiotic supplement. 70% of your immune system is in your tummy, so carefully balancing the bacteria in your gut will boost your immune system, as well as improve your skin.
Food intolerances are very often a factor when it comes to breakouts. Too much sugar messes up your insulin levels, so try to limit foods that are high in sugar and swap your starchy carbohydrates for brown versions. I know this is stuff you’ll have mostly likely heard elsewhere, so I won’t get all preachy! Think 80/20 balance when it comes to healthier choices, and you won’t go too far wrong.
If we are working together to treat your skin, we will look at whether food is playing a part in your skin conditions. I can help you with simple, sustainable changes that may help you.
So without further ado, here’s the Cheat Sheet, with some top tips on how to look after your skin at home. Just click on the link below.

Glowing Skin Treatments
If you would like to go beyond glowing skin products and look at treatments that are available, then this section is for you. What I will say, is that in order to achieve the best possible results, you will need to look after your skin from the inside out too. So please do have a look at the advice in my Cheat Sheet above.
I offer some fabulous treatments that really improve the quality of your skin, helping it work more effectively and bring you back your glow – for the long-term.
My real powerhouse is the illumiFacial, which is a ‘photofacial’ that targets multiple skin concerns at once. It targets pigmentation, redness, uneven skin tone, freckles, hydration and collagen levels. The ULTIMATE antiaging facial for a long term glow. To find out more about the illumiFacial, click HERE.
I use the Lynton 3Juve system in my advanced antiaging treatments. This is a specialist medical grade skincare laser system that is designed to target almost all common skin concerns. If you’d like to read more about it, you can click HERE.
If you’re looking for a gentle, entry level treatment for glowing skin. Then I would recommend a microneedling facial. Microneedling facials are a gentle treatment, that helps to push medical grade products into the deeper layers of the skin where they are more effective, whilst giving your skin a little boost to increase it’s natural collagen production. You can find out more about my Plump & Glow microneedling facials by clicking HERE.
Chemical Peels
Don’t be put off by the word ‘chemical’ – these really aren’t as scary as they sound.
The term ‘chemical peel’ refers to a variety of different skin peels that can be used to target different skin concerns. You’ll be really surprised to hear that many of the ‘chemicals’ are actually derived from fruit enzymes, sugar cane, milk and even red wine (the benefits of red wine really are endless it seems!).
Chemical skin peels are a great way to boost your skin, address concerns such as lines & wrinkles, acne, hyperpigmentation and sensitivities such as rosacea. Click HERE to find out more.
