How much does  camouflage tattooing cost?

How much does Camouflage Tattooing cost?  Are you finding it hard to find the answer to this question?

And rather than just say something like ‘it depends’ or ‘price on assessment’ (POA), I wanted to explain to you the costs for Skin Camouflage Tattooing and the reason why there’s not a fixed price.

The starting cost for treatments are £200.00 per session.  This would be for a small  area on the face or body, up to 5cm in diameter.  Typically you will need 3-4 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart, in order to get the desired results.

The longest treatment session I offer for  Camouflage Tattooing is 3.5 hours (3 hours treatment time).  The cost of this would be £600.00.

You would then need to have a colour boost treatment, approximately every 12 months.  This will keep the colour fresh.

Why do the costs of treatment vary so much?

It’s impossible to give an exact answer to the question ‘How much does Camouflage Tattooing Cost?’. The reason that the costs vary are because it depends on the size of the area to be treated, together with the duration of each appointment.

I also need to take into account whether you have scar tissue that is going to be tattooed.  Scar tissue can be unpredictable to tattoo, as it tends to either grab pigment or reject it.  It’s impossible to know exactly how your scar tissue will respond, prior to treating it.  So if we are treating scar tissue I will advise you that you may need 1-2 additional sessions, if I feel that this may be needed.

After I have assessed the area that you would like treated, I will be able to give you an exact price per session, with an idea of the number of treatments you will require.

There are several factors that affect how many treatments you may need.   This can be down to your skin type, your lifestyle, your age, medications and medical conditions. These are the things that we will discuss at your consultation, either in person or remotely.

Why is £200.00 the minimum charge?

The reason the minimum charge is £200.00 per treatment, is because there are basic treatment costs attached to every treatment, including time, consumables and costs. Aside from time, the costs of carrying out a treatment are approximately the same, whether your treatment is 1 hour or 4 hours.   Even for the smallest of areas, I still need to allow time in Clinic for you to fill out forms, to pre-numb the area, to go through the aftercare fully and for the treatment to be carried out.

You can click on the ‘prices explained’ button below to learn more about what’s included in every treatment, together with the suppliers that I use (and why).

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments you will need will depend on:

Number 1: The area you would like treated and your desired result.

Number 2: The type of skin that you would like treated. For example, treatments that cover thicker scar tissue may require additional or more frequent treatments. Your skin type also forms a part of this.

Number 3: Your lifestyle, if the area you have treated is exposed to the sun, chlorine or exfoliating products on a regular basis, then you will need additional and more frequent treatments.

Number 4: Aftercare. It is vital that you follow the aftercare you are given, to ensure you have the best possible immediate and long term results.

How do you carry out an assessment?

I can assess the area you would like treated in person at a Consultation, or you can send me photographs for assessment.  I do recommend coming in to see me if you can, as this gives me the opportunity to assess your skin fully.

Once I’ve carried out an assessment, I will be able to confirm the price of each session to you, together with the duration of each appointment. This will be the fixed price for each session that you come to.

However, I do appreciate that this doesn’t give an exact answer to the question ‘How much does Camouflage Tattooing cost?. It’s not possible to be exact on the number of sessions that you will need, as everyone is different.  Typically, it’s 2-4 sessions, but there are always exceptions to this.  Camaouflage Tattooing and indeed, any treatments involving the skin are not an exact science.  You skin is the largest organ in your body and entirely unique to you. So the number of sessions is a guideline for around 80% of my clients.

I hope that gives you a bit more of an understanding in terms of why it’s not possible to have have a fixed price for Medical Skin Camouflage Tattoo treatments.

If you would like to find out more about how I can help you, then please get in touch.  You can find out more about the treatment by clicking the ‘find out more’ button, or click ‘get in touch’ to contact me.
