Breast Cancer Support Group Basingstoke

As part of my ‘Spotlight on Breast Cancer’ series, today I’d like to tell you all about a wonderful breast cancer support group in Basingstoke.  The lovely Angela has been running Basingstoke Breast Cancer Self Help Group for the last 18 years.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Angela through my work with Look Good Feel Better cancer charity, as she often brings ladies to my Basingstoke workshops.  She’s a wonderfully kind and inspirational lady and the support group that she runs is invaluable to ladies who have been diagnosed with, or have been through breast cancer.

How can Angela’s breast cancer support group help?

Well I’m going to quote what’s written on the front of the Basingstoke Breast Cancer Self Help Group’s leaflet – and it’s this; “SUPPORT, HELP AND FRIENDSHIP”…..and I’d say that beautifully sums up the key benefits. I am completely in awe of the lengths that Angela will go to to support the ladies in her group, she truly cares and she is the epitome of kindness, in my opinion.

The groups meets from 7-9pm once a month at the Ark Conference Centre in Basingstoke (which is at the back of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital).  The meetings include informal discussions, as well as listening to talks from guest speakers on a variety of relevant topics.  If you’d like to find out more about the meetings, including dates. Then please click HERE.

How to get in touch.

Angela completely appreciates that not everyone will be comfortable coming along to a meeting initially. She is more than happy to arrange to meet you for a coffee on a 1-2-1 basis.

There are a couple of links in this blog which will take you directly to the Basingstoke Breast Cancer Self Help Group website. You can also email them; Basingstokebreastcancer@gmail.com.  Alternatively, you can call:

Angela on 07939641187

Renee on 07717873090

So if you, a family member or a friend are in need of support then please get in touch with Angela.  She is truly such a lovely lady and will be able to offer support, help and friendship in the warmest way possible.

Kindest x
